Out of the Cradle, by William K Hartmann, Ron Miller, and Pamela Lee, is a 1984 non-fiction book discussing the past, present and future of space travel. It’s intended as a practical though ambitious look at what’s possible, spending chapters on exploring Mars, Saturn, or the moon again, as well as one on the potential for space cities orbiting Earth.
