The top post on my tumblr this week was Ian Miller’s 1973 cover to At the Mountains of Madness by HP Lovecraft.

Miller’s unmistakable style packs in the off-putting details, putting him in the class of horror artists who have undoubtedly had a generation of kids poring over their covers. Just look at that venus-fly-trap-cum-bagpipe motherfucker!
